Hitchcock often joked about his rotund figure, incorporating it into his "personal brand." But privately, his weight was a source of lifelong distress. Filled with rarely-seen home movies, Alfred Hitchcock’s Body of Work adds flesh to his feelings, as expressed to biographer Charlotte Chandler: “I never achieved the body I wanted, though I am proud of my body of work. It is tall and thin and handsome.”
